The location of the unit is within walking distance of parks and beaches. Several small shopping areas also within walking distance.
Location on the condominium property wasn’t as quiet as we hoped, condo backs an alleyway. Every morning we opened up the place for fresh air, but peacefulness was drowned out by the noise of motorcycles and noisy cars from the nextdoor apartments heading out to work. Opportunities we noticed and shared with ‘our on-island contact/concierge; master bathroom walk-in shower backup inches deep, spiders and webs next to night stands/bed.

The hosts were quick to answer our questions before booking. They sent detailed instructions to access the place and to enter the condo. The condo is cute, cozy and spacious enough for 4 people. There are 2 beautiful bathrooms with showers. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. We took all our meals on the lanai. It is quiet and cozy. The area has a large pool, 2 hot tubs and Barbecues. The condo and the property are very clean. The location is perfect. We recommend this place, and we will rent it again if we come back to Maui.

This was our second time staying at this resort as we love the location. This was our first time staying in this unit and we would happily do so again. This was a perfect condo for a couple. The condo has everything we needed. We especially liked the plush towels, cozy sheets and lush bathroom mats. The wine cooler was great at keeping drinks cold. We liked that extra security of having a gated complex. I was worried about insects with being a ground level condo but we had no issues. The condo was very quiet and we slept so well each night. Thank you so much for sharing your place with us. We hope to be able to come again!

My hubby and I rented a car and stayed in this condo for 11 days. We had a wonderful experience. The owners and the property manager was very responsive. The condo itself was very clean and had everything you need if u wanted to cook. The location was a great spot. It’s in an areas full of other tourists who are also renting out condos for their vacations. You can def stay in this area without a car bc there’s restaurants that is in walking distance but I would highly recommend a car if you want to explore Maui. The condo had bath and beach towels, the washer and dryer was very nice and useful. I liked having the 2 separate showers so that we can get ready separately. This condo is gated so it’s very safe. Some others in the area are not. Especially with all of the homeless people around. There was also a gate with a code for u to if ur waking to and from the beach. No shark attacks while I was on Maui since Kihei area was high on the list to spot sharks in the water. I stayed pretty close to shore. I was out no more than 30 ft AND I did NOT GO OUT WHEN the lifeguards posted the flags. MAHALO

Overall the condo was exceptionally great. The only thing we noticed was the floors were a bit dirty. All of the appliances were updated and in great working order. The beach equipment supplied by the owners were great. Great location with no noise from any neighbors. Would highly recommend this condo for any of our friends and family, and we would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our time in Maui! We have stayed in Kamaole Sands before, with more family members and friends in a larger condo. This condo was just fine for us two. Very beautiful inside! We never could get the sleep number bed to feel just right, but that’s just us. We ate on the lanai everyday, it’s more comfortable than the dining room chairs, it’s a pretty view out there, but it backs up to a different condo community, the street for it is very close, and can be noisy at times, like trash pick up times and fedex delivery truck times etc, we had stayed at the inside buildings of Kamaole sands in the past, and you don’t hear those type of noises there. I can understand needing furniture that can hold up to multiple users, but the couch and chair in the living room aren’t super comfy, but we didn’t stay inside the condo much. We really appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler!! The parking spot is a couple of buildings away, number 138, not much that can be done about that I’m sure, just a little annoying. We love Maui, Kihei and Kamaole sands, we would stay here again for sure! Thank you!!

As repeat visitors to Maui and guests of your condo we once again enjoyed our stay. The condo was spotless upon our arrival. There is one upgrade that would be of benefit: The cleaning or replacement of the dining room table and chairs is required. The new flooring and awning type blinds in the bedroom is a great improvement. We enjoy the over size lanai in both mornings and evenings. The condo met all our needs and we look forward to returning next year.

I would definitely stay here again. I loved all the updates to the condo. I was impressed with the size and loved the cool breeze that flows through. AC perfect for sleeping. We also enjoyed the Large pool, jacuzzis and Nice grilling areas.

This was our second trip to Kamaole Sands, but our first stay at this beautiful condo. The owners were extremely responsive to any questions I had before our trip and even checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was going well.
We have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties but this was the most well stocked condo we have ever stayed in. It has been updated and is very comfortable. They have thought of everything. It was nice to know the owners truly cared about their guests experience. The use of the chairs and umbrella were wonderful when traveling around the island too.
We absolutely love Maui and when we return we will be staying here for sure! Many thanks to an amazing vacation!

The check-in process was fairly easy but a little more annoying than going straight to the unit. THe parking was unfortunately a bit of a walk from the unit, and I think it is the main office that assigns this. The finishings and the supplies in the kitchen were very beautiful and nice quality. Everything you need to cook is supplied. The Keurig ended up being so nice even though we thought we would prefer the other coffee pot. The outside seating area is lovely. The AC kept the place very comfortable temperature-wise. There does seem to be a moisture issue though. The smell in the bedroom was so bad (mildew?) that I considered finding somewhere else to stay the last night. Everything in the room felt quite damp- bedding etc it felt clammy. If this were to be fixed this would be a top-notch rental because clearly a lot of work was put into making this a beautiful space.

The unit gives you a very homey feel. It is very clean and spacious. The appliances are pretty new. The The location of the property is very convenient to shopping area, restaurants and to the Kamaole I, II and III beaches. You can watch the beautiful sunset just across the street in Kamaole III. The unit owner is very responsive as well. I will not hesitate to stay on this unit again and to even highly recommend it to friends and family. Mahalo !!

We loved staying at this condo. It was extremely clean and had many great additions including a very nice updated kitchen with plenty of cooking tools/ utensils. The community where the condo is located is very well kept and feels very safe and family friendly. It was also very quiet at night. The hosts provide beach chairs, umbrella, a cooler etc. which was perfect for walking to the beach that was literally across the street. There are many great places to eat and shop in Kihei, but the condo is also only a 5 minute drive from Wailea which has many resorts, golf courses, and higher end shopping and dining. This was a great spot for a relaxing beach vacation, would highly recommend.

The bed in the master was so comfortable and our 11yr old son loved the pull down couch. Perfect location and beautiful renovations and decor. First of, the location is great! It's literally right across the road from the beach. Second, the condo is appointed beautifully. Very tastefully done. A TV in the living area and a second one in the Master was a really nice touch. Very much appreciated the washer and dryer, super nice ones. It has all the amenities to make for a very nice stay (ie. pots, pans, plates, silverware, mixing bowls, even a kuerig, and when we were there shampoo and body wash, too). Plus some items for the beach! Very nice!!

We felt uncomfortable with additional charges charged at check in for parking and a pool and hot tub that we were never going to use, we were on Maui for work. It even surprised the local property manager who communicated the owner should pay these fees. I will reach out and hope they reimburse our extra charges that we were not advised during rental.

I generally travel and/or vacation on my own, and this condo was ideal for me. Great location for beaches, food, etc. Great hosts and communication. Easy check in/out. Although many things are within easy walking distance, I would still recommend renting a vehicle for excursions around the island. Only negative is a lack of view from condo, but that’s easily remedied with a short walk to the beach. Thanks again!

Property was geographically a challenge from a location standpoint. This was our first time in Kihei, area is over built with condos and not enough service to support tge population. Prefer west coast Lahaina in future. Condo was poorly cleaned especially floors.
Internet and phone service was terrible. Cheapest internet and cable service possibly the issue. Had to go outside the unit to use phone and internet was slow at best. Ended up using phone data which used my 10gig in a week requiring additional cost for monthly service.

Since I only stayed for one night, I can't write quite as thorough of a review of the whole property of Kamaole Sands as others have, but I would like to express my appreciation for Chris being so accommodating and kind and allowing me and my children to stay for one night due to a scheduling snafu at Villas At The Cove. My two children and I traveled to Hawaii for my sister's wedding, which was originally scheduled for June 2020, and rescheduled for June 2021 due to COVID. The dates weren't transfered correctly, so I was very relieved and grateful when Chris agreed to allow us to stay for just one night. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and luxuriousness of Chris's condo. It was worth every penny and made our last night in Hawaii very comfortable and pleasant. I would love to go back and stay longer someday.

My husband and I were impressed with the quality of this condo. We have stayed at Kamaole Sands a few times before and find the grounds and the proximity to great beaches a treat. We snorkeled with many different fish and turtles just across the street. The owners were terrific and prompt with any questions. There is plenty of room and 2 bathrooms. This condo is fantastic - both for its interior and its location. The community here is so much fun! We met the loveliest people at the barbeques each night, and at the pool each day. The selection of beaches is amazing and we were able to visit a new one each day with a car. There is also lots of fun within walking distance (shave ice, cinnamon buns, liquor store, taco shop, coffee, restaurants) that you will love this location. Love the local feel of Kamaole, compared to some of the higher end hotels both north and south. The condo is delightful! Boogie boards, beach towels, beach bag and chairs were used everyday - thanks for providing those! The kitchen is decked out with plenty of items including a waffle maker. The lanai opens away from the main complex which we appreciated. The unit exceeded our expectations. It was clean, modern (wifi, tv) and comfortable. We stayed with our 8-year old daughter and it was our best vacation of all time. We will be booking this unit again :)

This is an absolutely beautiful unit! It was recently remodeled, very clean, and well stocked. You did not need to bring anything with you. We were there over Thanksgiving and had everything we needed to cook a turkey with all the fixings. The living room was large and you did not feel cramped, even with the sofa bed pulled out. The king size bed in the master bedroom was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in away from home. We were there for three weeks and there was plenty of storage and drawers to put everything away. The owners provided us with complete instructions prior to our arrival and everything went as planned. The complex itself was very well maintained and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay in this complex and this unit again!!!

Stayed for 5 nights and the condo came well equipped, clean, and the location was extremely convenient. There were plenty of beach chairs, towels, etc that also made things convenient. The unit itself is on the outer part of the complex which reduces noise. This also means there is no view - wasn't a big deal for us since we are hardly in the unit. The only other con was the bed seemed to be lumpy in the middle (maybe 2 mattresses pushed together?).
The owner was great to deal with. I'd definitely stay again.

We especially enjoyed using the beach chairs, umbrella, and snorkeling gear! The location is phenomenal with easy access to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Condo is modern, clean and comfortable with nice appliances. Master bathroom and kichen are beautiful. The photos acurately show what is inside. It was quiet and we heard very little noise from neighbors. It is on the lower level and occasionally resort staff, guests and security walk past your lanai. The resort is in the quieter (best) end of Kihei. Beach access and snorkelling is really good here. Overall the location suited us as we were centrally located for exploring the island. My number one recommendation is to buy the book, Maui Revealed for info on activities and where to eat. We hit many bad food spots in Kihei before buying the book.

Ever dream of visiting one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world (Maui)? Ever dream of enjoying the sun on your face, walking along white sand beaches, snorkeling, and eating authentic Hawaiin foods all within walking distance? Well, my family and I did. We dreamt it and did it… We had the pleasure of staying at this Kamaole Sands Condo, across the street from Kamaole III Beach. The condo is located on the first floor and while we saw shoes outside the condos on both sides of us, we never heard our neighbors, our time there was quiet and peaceful, we were on vacation indeed. The condo itself is as beautifully decorated as the pictures posted on the website and the lanai was nice for evenings of unwinding and reflection after each great day of activities. We also enjoyed reading over a cup of coffee in the early morning out on the lanai. The condo owners were great in accepting and processing our reservations quickly. We never had to contact the owners nor condo management, as we did not have any problems or issues. The condo was stocked with all of the necessities and even a few we were not expecting, such as: snorkel gear, a boogie board, a beach umbrella, beach chairs and all of the dishes you could ever possibly need. The condo is big enough for a family of four or maybe even five depending on how big your kids are. The couch in the living room unfolds into a queen sofa bed. The property is managed well and immaculately maintained. The pool and surrounding area were also nice with numerous barbeque grills for independent grilling. Wednesdays at the pool is “Mai Tai” party day, where staff serves Mai Tais for adults and also provide a cocktail of juices for kids in addition to playing music for all to enjoy.
The condo was great, it was very clean (kudos to the cleaning staff), and significantly contributed to my family and I having a great vacation. The condo is significantly under priced; therefore, do not let that dismay you. As my family and I departed Maui, we felt we had gotten the best deal for the location and our money. Thank you Coach, for sharing your beautifully maintained condo with my family and I. We had a great time in Maui and loved your condo!!!
