It was a good experience. The condo has a good view of the ocean. The condo was clean and comfortable. The one thing we would say is it is in need of an update of the kitchen. The owners were accommodating of our request of a late checkout and easily contacted. Enjoyed our stay.

Property was comfortable. Slightly disappointed that mgmt did not handle smoking in neighboring lanai. Advised front desk, as well as asked neighbor because we had visitors with a baby and they made mention of the smoke. Overall the property condo and location were perfect. Just the no smoking not enforced

The unit, the grounds, the staff, and the sunsets are all life long memorable. We first stayed there in 1979; about 15 visits later, it remains a gem. Papakea= no ka oi!

The location of the condo was convenient. Enjoyed walking the flights of stairs to the 3rd floor. Convenient to parking, ABC store and the ocean. Very neat, orderly and clean condo. Enjoyed the stay!!

Resort was a great setting for our visit to Maui. The condo was as the photos showed, adequate but very dated. But no air conditioning? Really? For a tropical, humid environment and a unit that gets the afternoon sun, AC is necessary. The fan just did not make for comfort while sleeping, no air in the bathroom, very warm living area. Owner should have been up front about this fact. We would never stay in this unit again.

I have visited Maui annually over the past 20 years and always stay at the Papakea. This was my first trip with just my mom and me and this unit couldn't have been more perfect for the both of us. The unit was clean and had everything that we needed for our visit. The bed was comfortable and the views around the resort and from the balcony are beautiful as always. My only caveat is that I thought that I could do without A/C, but I was definitely hotter at times than I expected. My mom was perfectly fine, so it's a personal preference on A/C, but still happy to give my 5 star rating. Nancy was super responsive with all of my questions. I would highly recommend this unit to any couple who just want a place to relax after a day of exploration around the island or just lazing around the pool! Thank you, Nancy!

We stayed here for a wedding and it couldn't have been more perfect. The view from the balcony is really great, everything you could want - ocean view, garden, and pool. The location is hard to beat it's very central to beautiful beaches, grocery stores, and desirable restaurants. The owners were super communicative about check in and it was seamless and easy. Would absolutely stay here again, even suggested my parents stay here next time they go :)

Staff not forthcoming with information. Failed to provide wake up call at time of departure. Needed help with computer and printing Boarding pass and they could not provide guidance. Failed to enforce rules they told us at check in.

We entered the unit after checking in and it was a mess. It had not been cleaned. The employee at the front desk that checked us in said there was nothing they could do with this being a private owner. Called the person on my instructions and no answer. Left a message and no call back. Sent an email to owner as well. Got a response hours later saying they were sorry cleaning lady's car broke down.
Owner said this was out of her control. It was almost 6pm before the room was ready. Cleaning lady drove up in what appeared to be a new van. Seems the owner should have known this was not cleaned before we checked in and asked us if we could check in later. We should have been offered some type of comp. Owner needs to use a dependable property management company. Kona Koast Vacations on the Big Island would never let this happen.

We stayed for our honeymoon and we could not be more thrilled. We were nervous about no air conditioning but with the windows and slider screens it was perfect to sleep. There was even a fan in the bedroom we didn’t use. The kitchen is well equipped and the view is what we loved the most. We will be back!

I needed a place for a night since flying in from NH we didn't want to lose a day of vacation. We stayed 1 night and want to return for a full vacation. Absolutely beautiful. The sun set was amazing!! The unit was clean, spacious and has a wonderful view over the gardens, pool, cabana and to the ocean. The other guests were friendly and striking up conversations was easy. The grounds are meticulously cared for. I highly recommend a stay here.

My wife and I stayed at Papakea for just over a week. The unit was clean and has a great view. The property is kept in excellent shape as a whole. Communication with the owners was seamless. There is no AC in this unit however with the windows open it gets a nice breeze.

This is a great condo with wonderful views of the ocean and Molokai Island! The resort has beautiful grounds, pool and activities. At the north end of Kaanapali Beach on the edge of the tourist zone so not over run with tourists. Very relaxing place!
