The condo has all the amenities of home. It was clean, laundry next door and just a couple blocks from Waikiki beach. Walking distance to the beach and shops. John responded promptly and was gracious to let us check in early. I would highly recommend renting from John again. Thank you!

This vrbo has everything you could need which was great. We used the beach chairs and walked 10 minutes to the beach. Kitchen was well stocked. Had an umbrella, cards, kleenex, just a lot of thoughtful extras that make it homey.
The only negative things I would say is that you hear quite a bit of noise due to the downtown location so just expect that. Also the bedroom blinds did nothing to keep the light out in the morning. Every day we were up by 6am, not exactly ideal when your on vacation. Be ready to get an early start to your day or bring an eye mask.

My parents and I enjoyed our stay at Jon's place sooo much!! The place is equipped with everything you might possibly need, even beach chairs and umbrellas! Plus the building has a small convenience store on the first floor for anything you might still need! The beach is only a 10 minute walk and every tour I booked was able to pick us up right across the street! Lastly, Jon the host was amazing during the whole process! Very communicative and responsive! We enjoyed our stay sooo much and Jon made the process smooth and with no hassle! So I HIGHLY recommend staying here!

This condo was perfect for our family trip to Oahu! We have an almost 2 year old and the condo was equipped with a pack and play saving us the hassle of trying to find one down there or traveling with one.it was a hot week and the A/C worked great. The condo was filled with the necessity items. It was very clean! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone needing to stay in downtown waikiki. Minutes away from the beach and beautiful lanai views!

We stayed 10 days in Waikiki and this space was ideal for our family of 4. It came with all the amenities we needed including parking, and is centrally located to easily get to anything in Oahu. Comfortable bed for us and pullout for the kids, beach chairs and towels, a cooler and ice packs. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

This lovely condo came equipped with everything we could possibly need and then some. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, a cooler, beach toys, snorkel sets, lots beach towels, every kitchen appliance and pot and pan imaginable, many kitchen staples such as spices, etc., etc. There was even a port-a crib and potty stowed under the bed for those who have babies.
The unit was very clean and the king bed very comfortable.
The location was very convenient for all things in Waikiki. Parking is included and we never had an issue finding a space at any time of day. We did not experience long wait times for the elevators (there are 4 per tower) as some reviewers of other units on the upper floors have mentioned.
The owner John was very responsive to all my questions. Overall we can highly recommend this unit and would definitely stay here again. This was our 4th trip to Oahu and our 2nd stay at the Waikiki Banyan.

This was a beautiful place to stay and enhanced our first visit to Hawaii and our 50th wedding anniversary. We had a problem the first night due to a cleaning schedule mix-up but John made it good even though it was not his fault.
The property is exactly as pictured and does offer a great view of the water and even a little bit of the beach. And Waikiki beach is just a five-minute walk from the front door. There are many great restaurants within an easy 5 to 10 minute walk (Recommendation: stay away from OMG on the corner of Ohua and Kalakaua). Some guests have complained about the elevators but we had no problem no matter what time of day. The parking garage can get full, especially on the weekends, but we were always able to find a spot. The kitchen has everything you might need to prepare and enjoy your meals in the room and that was important to us. We loved having breakfast on the lanai in the mornings.
You may not have any interaction with the hotel staff at the Waikiki Banyan, but if you have a problem, they are super friendly and helpful.
We would definitely stay here again.

My daugthers liked their stay. They thought all was good. I made sure to ask them to keep the place clean, since I could not be there.
The weird thing is that I got an email from the property manager after they left, who stated that the place was left a mess, and that he would report that to VRBO. He then sent me pictures that looked totally fine (an empty bag from Starburcks on the floor, underwear that were left behind, ... I did not get it. It is not making sense to me. She they had a good time, I will still give this 5 stars. Just weird that I got that email stating they would be reported, for what looked like a normal post-stay cleaning that housekeeping would normally expect.

Property is as described. Good value for the price. We only slept and showered but noticed plenty of beach chairs and a rolling cooler for a beach day. The refrigerator had several open items that was a bit of a turn off but we only used it for drinks. The bed and sheets were unexpectedly very comfortable. There are only two things that would prevent me from renting again but I doubt most people will care much. There are thin shades in the bedroom so the city lights come through all night. I couldn’t acclimate to Hawaii time because I can’t sleep with lights in my face. The property is old and the few elevators are too. They were terribly slow which resulted in overcrowding. Plan an extra 30 minutes when you leave to go anywhere and pray you don’t get stuck or that anyone is sick. Overall, I would recommend this property for most folks because the price is incredibly less than hotels.

This was a very nice condo with a great view. It was clean and updated. Great communication with owner. The air conditioner kept it very cool and we could turn it off at night and open the bedroom windows and hear the waves from Waikiki Beach (softly) along with the sounds of the city. We loved the beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board, cooler, and towels - it made trips to the beach much more comfortable. One thing that was slightly disappointing was the walk to the beach was a little longer than I expected. You can walk two blocks to the water, but it's not really a good beach there - we had to turn right and walk 2-3 more blocks to get to the nice area of Waikiki. Not a huge deal....we just thought it was going to be a slightly shorter walk to the beach each day. I would definitely stay here again if we returned to the area if it was just me and my husband - it was a little crowded with our 2 teenage girls too - though not bad for 4 days.

Overall we like the property a lot. We do wish it had a dishwasher, and there were a few minor things like no dish rags (only sponges), no sink drain stopper, and we wished there were paper towels provided. But all things considered, we were very happy with the property!

Our experience with John's VRBO was amazing! My husband and I spent a week there for our honeymoon, and we were able to relax with the amenities provided as well as go out to the many places around the condo. John was fast & helpful with his responses, and recommended so many amazing places to us! Check in & out was clearly instructed with no hidden fees or anything. The bed was huge and comfortable! We stayed 8 nights and had a wonderfull time. It was very clean with a very nice view of the ocean.
* The location was great with access to several shops and restaurant and It took less than 5 minutes to walk to Waikiki Beach.
* The king bed was very comfortable and our two kids slept on the sofa bed with no complaints.
* Having full kitchen was big plus for us.
* Free parking was also great given how expensive parking is in Waikiki.
* The unit had several beach umbreallas, chairs, snorkeling stuff as well

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation. The location is convenient and easy walking distance to everything Waikiki, and the property has everything you need - beach gear, cooler, shopping bags, water toys, etc. The fold-out couch and separate bedroom were the perfect layout for our family of four. The included parking and laundry right next door to the unit were added bonuses! Communication from the host was top-notch; we'd definitely stay here again if we're lucky enough to go back to Hawaii!

It’s our first time to use VRBO- the owner communicated with us consistently. Instructions were very clear. The property was very clean, it has everything you need, more than what we expected. The location was central to Waikiki Beach- a minute walk and you’re at the center of everything. Definitely felt safe. Very well decorated. Free parking was a plus esp in Waikiki. Will definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at John's condo! It's just a few blocks from the beach and walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shopping. We rented a car so the parking was a huge plus for us! The condo was very clean and has a great view. It was well stocked with all we could need (and more), and all of the necessities for our days at the beach were provided as well. John was a great host and easy to communicate with. His condo was perfect for our family of 4 and we would absolutely stay here again!!

In addition to a full kitchen, the condo includes beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, and other beach accessories to use during your stay. We had a lovely stay in this condo. Location was fabulous a very short walk to the beach. Lots of little extras like water toys and chairs. Kitchen had more than everything we needed! Condo was very clean and view was los very nice. Communication with owner was also great. Wouldn’t hesitate staying here again. By the way we only used the pool once as we were at the beach and exploring.

John's place was a great location for my family. It was just a few blocks away from the beach and he has all the beach necessities, such as launch chairs, umbrellas, and cooler.
We stayed here with my 4 month old and having the laundry next door was a huge convenience.
The free parking is also unheard of in Waikiki so this was also a great plus for us.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend John's place for anyone looking for a perfectly situated condo in Waikiki.
