Property was exactly what we needed. The view was amazing! The shower head had too much pressure it was more like sandblasting. Usually it’s the opposite, right? It truly was painful though. It also needed to be decalcified. It had a lot of build up. The bed was hard but I didn’t mind. I slept well. We spent more time on the patio than anywhere else when we were there.

Located in Kihei just a bit outside the busier areas. Nice little apartment perfect size for 2 people. The view is where this spot shines. You’re able to see an amazing sunset every night and are able to hop right on the beach. Property is well kept. Would stay here again!

My rating summary is the property is a 2 1/2 stars accomodation with a 5 start view and beach access. It is priced right. Street and a/c noise, especially in the berdroom, is much louder than we are used too.

This ground floor unit was great. Just walk out to your own beach. The water is still and great for cooling off and a big beautiful view of the mountains and harbor. Looking forward to another stay here!

We loved the unit! The location on Kihei, the view of the ocean. We watched whales breach from the lanai. There were always turtles on the beach. The unit was clean, but it does need a deep clean. We didn't contact anyone, maybe it was scheduled for after our stay. But, there were not any creapy crawlies. Always a plus. We would stay here again!

The first floor condo was such a convenience, from using the grill to getting to the beach. During our stay Humpback whales we're here and we could watch them right from the lanai! The property is clean and well maintained. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Koa Lagoon! Mahalo

This was the perfect place to stay for my and my boyfriend's first time in Hawaii! We absolutely loved opening up the blinds in the morning to the amazing view! It looks just like it does in the pictures. The grounds are well-kept and you really are just steps away from the beach. We went in mid-August, and I will say the sand was very rocky where it opens up from the condo; however, we still enjoyed taking several walks on the beach as well as a quick swim.
The unit was very clean when we arrived and well-stocked. Some other reviews mentioned having ants. We did see a few but no more than the occasional spiders that you see in your own home, and it honestly didn't bother us. We just made sure not to leave out any food. As far as the AC unit in the bedroom, it is true that it is noisy, but we mainly did not use it because my boyfriend did not like having the air blow right next to his head. However, we kept the whole place cool at night by just using the AC unit in the living room and keeping the bedroom door open - no issues for us but it is loud which may be something to consider if you are a light sleeper.
Some other things worth mentioning are that the unit does come with at least 2 boogie boards and 2 super cool beach chairs! We loved taking these with us each time we went to the beach! There is also a side hose available for all tenants, which we frequently used to wash off our shoes and other items before going into our unit. There is also a shower located in the pool area that you can use to wash off any remaining sand you may have in your bathing suit.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend! The view alone is totally worth it. We felt so grateful to have had the pleasure of staying here!

This property could use some TLC. For the price it’s fine because we’re not picky, but our friends rented a unit literally two doors down for about the same price and it was significantly nicer, more comfortable, and more modern.
Some concerns were the knob breaking off the stove, ants in the bathroom, and air conditioners that were so loud we couldn’t sleep with them on at night. Also a heads up we had to buy shampoo and conditioner, they didn’t provide.
But the location is nice and if you’re planning to be out and about more than in the room, it’s obviously a more affordable option than a resort.

My husband and stayed in this unit for our honeymoon. The location was fantastic and it was correctly advertised as for the lanai leading onto the beach.
However, we found the condo to be very outdated and not well kept. The bathroom grout was super dirty, shower curtain wash gross, there was a strong musty smell throughout the entire unit. We were not told prior to coming that the safe jn the unit wasn't in working condition. And one of the burners on the stove didn't work, which happened to be the largest burner.
The kitchen didn't have adequate cooking supplies. Our food stuck to every pan that we used. The knives were so dull they they were dangerous to use.
The entire unit had ants. They were crawling around in the bathroom, and somehow got into the dishwasher with our clean dishes...
Contrary to popular opinion, we found the bed to be quite comfortable. But i can understand how not many people would share the same feelings. It was hard and springy.
I will agree with the rest of the reviews regarding the air conditioning units, they are very loud. The noise didn't bother me but again I could understand why it may be bothersome to others.
I would also recommend bringing your own cooler bag for beach trips as the cooler provided is quite small.
One thing we really liked about this unit was the great communication between us and the property manager. Linda was fantastic.

This was a perfect place to stay in Kihei. Right on the beach with grassy area in between. This unit is on the first floor which is perfect for going to the beach. Pros: It comes with many extras—boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, small ice chest and washer and dryer. Cons: The window units are very loud and there is no hair dryer even though the description says there is one.
I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again.

The apartment was just why my wife and I needed during a short stay in Maui. Seem-less check-in process (just type in provided key pin) and the apartment was very clean. Location was great to access a lot of different hikes and beaches. It was a great place to unwind after a day of hiking and watch the sunset from either the back lanai or the beach just a 20 yard stroll from the back door.

We throughly enjoyed the location of this property outside of the hustle and bustle of busy areas in overly crowded hotel zones, however just a short drive from everything you could want or need.
The property was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with kitchen utensils, laundry supplies, water toys and towels.
We’d definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

My husband and I had a wonderful time during our first trip to Maui. We found the condo to be as advertised and would mostly recommend it.
Pros: view and location was wonderful. We spent as much time on the lanai as possible and watched several glorious sunsets. There are lots of beaches, shops and restaurants/bars within minutes. Loved having parking and the landscaping was lovely.
Cons: air conditioner in bedroom was pretty loud and clunky and we ended up not using it most nights. There was a musty odor from shower/bathroom. We quickly learned to leave any food out on counters in the kitchen because it would be swarmed by very small ants.
We did not have need to communicate with property manager but feel like it wouldn’t be a problem. Also, we didn’t use the pool at all so we can’t speak to it.
Overall, it was a lovely time!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Location was great, it’s a bit of a drive to Lahaina but it’s not too bad. Plenty of great places just walking distance away. I really loved walking right out the slider across the grass and onto the sand. Everything was as expected. Only minor complaint I have would be that the front door doesn’t have a deadbolt and isn’t very secure. Still giving it 5 stars and we would definitely stay again!

This place is great for it's location and the view. We used the 2 nice beach chairs and small cooler that was provided. Having the washer & dryer in unit was helpful. Location was great, aside from a small beach just steps away, about a mile to plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. Plenty of dresser and closet space. Our favorite parts of each day was sitting on the lanai watching the sunset, and watching the turtles swim past us at the quiet beach behind complex. The kitchen was also nicely equipped.
The bed was very uncomfortable and I didn't like the bedroom AC blowing air directly into my face and the screen doors still have not been fixed which got annoying real fast. Parts of the condo felt dirty like the black grout in the bathroom and kitchen area made me want to wear socks when I was there. Water pressure in shower was a little slow. And the smart lock which was great for entry was bad for locking consistently. But, overall it was an good stay and gave us everything we were looking for the 6 nights we were there.

Only reason this didn't get 5 stars is because of the bed. It was a king but it was so so hard and very difficult to get good sleep and to avoid back and neck pains. Upgrade the bed, or even provide an eggshell foam mat for it and this would be 5 stars!

Furniture incl. kitchen and bathroom are old but well equipped. The sleeping room is very noisy due to the busy street directly at the property.

We loved our stay at Koa Lagoon. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed for our stay including beach chairs, coolers, ac in the bedroom and dining area, comfortable bed, and full kitchen with everything we needed to prep a few meals. The complex was quiet, nice small pool a few steps from the lanai, and great location to enjoy Kihei and the island. Our favorite part was the view! Beautiful view of the ocean - amazing to sit and soak it all in while sipping coffee in the morning or catching amazing sunsets from the lanai. Already hoping we can return to this condo in the spring!

I rate 3 out of 5 due to the accuraracy of online listing. There was no hair dryer as listed in the amentities list.
There was construction going on next door without informing us in advance.
Lastly, communication with property manager was poor.
* this is just a side note if you are a light sleeper, the AC running quite loud in the bedroom.
On a positive note the views is as posted on the listing.

Quiet condo away from all the people. The ground floor is amazing, as you can sit on the patio, walk a few steps to the beach and watch the amazing sunsets in your own private setting. This is a gem!

We rented this unit for a couple of reasons... 1) close access to the beach
2) it has a kitchen to cook our own meals
3) location on the island
The property was very close to the beach and being a ground level unit was fantastic! Just open the door and a short 100 yard walk later and you're on the beach. We loved this unit for this reason. Also the location on the island was great. It was a quiet area with most of the crowds staying further South. The owner was responsive and helpful. The unit was also very clean and the AC units worked perfectly!
The only issue we had was with the quality of kitchen. We attempted to cook some meals but found it very difficult because of the lack of equipment in the kitchen. For us, the benefit of having a kitchen is to save some money by cooking your own meals. The knives are so dull they are dangerous to use! I'm not exaggerating when I say the butter knife was the sharpest knife in the kitchen. Trying to cut a potato or pineapple was impossible.
While you can open 3 bottles of wine at a single time with the amount of openers in the unit, you cannot cook a fish fillet as there isn't a single spatula. There was only one spoon to cook with. The large stove burner did not function at all and the knob fell off when trying to use.
All of that being said I think those are fairly minor issues that we were able to overcome during our stay but would have expected those items in a fully stocked kitchen. Serious note on the knives... Please replace them.
Overall I would stay in this unit again and recommend it to most people. If you plan to cook anything, be aware that it may be harder than you expect.

Lanai was perfect for relaxing, the screen doors need a bit of maintenance, but otherwise very nice place! Pool area was very relaxing also! Would recommend to anyone looking in the Kihei area!

We loved the condo and the location. The screen door was a bit rickety, but I had read that in reviews. The condo was very nice and definitely as described. The beach was a bit coarse for us, but not a deal breaker. Be prepared, bring your own coffee (there are plenty of filters), or there is a Safeway less than a mile away. Overall, a very comfortable place to stay.

My aunt and I spent two splendid weeks in the condo end of September into October. Upon our arrival the condo was clean and tidy, we couldn’t believe the views we’d be enjoying for the next two weeks. The location couldn’t be any better on the bottom floor with the beach less than a minute walk away straight out from the glass doors. The sunset views from the porch were unbelievably beautiful and unique every night. With the convenience of a fully stocked kitchen, we were able to cook most of our dinners at the condo and eat while enjoying the scene and crisp ocean breeze. Some of the days were quite hot, but with the back sliding doors open and the front door propped open a constant cool ocean breeze kept the whole condo cool. We ran the air conditioning at night but it was only needed on a low setting. The lawn in front of the condo is massive with lovely manicured grass, plants and palm trees giving a real Hawaiian vibe. Every morning I would practice my daily routine of yoga and stretches on the lawn with the sound of the waves crashing and birds chirping. An ideal location to relax, rejuvenate and spend precious vacation time.
When we ventured to other beaches it was nice to have fins and snorkels available to use from the chest at the condo, avoiding the hassle of renting equipment. Renting a vehicle was quite easy using the app called “Turo”, we had a vehicle brought to a nearby area for us to use. The days we didn’t have a rental car we utilized the Maui Bus public transit. There is a bus stop right in front of the Koa Lagoon condominium complex on South Kihei Rd. Kihei has many nice beaches to swim and snorkel on as well as farmers markets, shops, bars, and restaurants. Overall our experience was fantastic! I'm very inclined to return to the condo another time, as well as recommending it to other friends and family interested in visiting Maui.

This was my first time to Maui, so naturally was concerned about location and such. Kihei is an excellent central location, allowing a traveler to go anywhere on the island. What’s more, Koa Lagoon is perfectly situated in Kihei. We loved the ground floor location which allowed us to walk right out to the beach across that cushiony lawn that you see in the photo. My wife also enjoyed the pool area while I was away at meetings. We were able to enjoy sunset nightly either on the lanai or walk on down to the sand. The condo is fully equipped in the kitchen - which we really didn’t use much except for breakfast and lunch - and the grills are very accessible. The owner, Tammy, has proven to be wonderful to work with and is quick to respond to messaging. There was only one negative review I found, and this was written in October. Tammy assured me these concerns had been addressed, and we found none of the issues mentioned in the review. I would definitely book this location again. Thanks for everything, Tammy.

It was nice to be able to walk straight out onto the beach. It isn't a good place to snorkel but just enjoying the water, sun and sand was lovely.
Our problems were inside. The kitchen and bathroom were infested with tiny ants. Everywhere! The kitchen faucet didn't leak, it ran constantly. The air conditioning is not big enough for the size of the condo.
We didn't complain at the time because we were tired and didn't want to move. We notified the property manager when we left and hopefully things have been taken care of.
Would we go back? No

Me and my friend had a great time staying at Tammy's place. The ocean view was amazing! It was so nice to live close to the ocean. The condo was really clean and had everything that you would possible need. We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends!

My girlfriend and I had a lovely romantic get away!! The ground floor location was idea as we enjoyed our morning coffee on the lanai. The central location of Kehei was idea for visiting Lahania one day, Haleakala National Park the next day and the road to Hana as well. Every evening, we took romantic barefoot on Sugar Beach with those picture perfect Maui Sunsets!! Dinner was a breeze as the grill was close to the condo and nearby the pool. The interior was spacious and the fold out queen size bed was ideal for family. We notice the new upgraded tile in the master bedroom was beautiful. We cant wait for to go back to the same place next year!!!

My Family and I were looking for an ocean front condo and found this one with a ground floor! We were extremely happy to be able to just walk out the front lanai without the hassle of elevators or steps. To be able to enjoy our morning coffee and stroll on the white sands of Sugar Beach There was also the soft green grass right outside for the kids to play as well.
We especially enjoyed the location central to everything. We were halfway from Lanai and halfway to the shops at Kahalui. There was also a local supermarket almost right across the street.
We especially like to thank Tammy for answering all our questions leading up to our stay. We looking for something special and found it!! Can't wait to come back!!

My girlfriend and I cant say enough about our wonderful stay at Koa Lagoon 103. We wanted to escape the cold with a valentine's week in Maui and we weren't disappointed!! Beginning every morning greeting the sunrise with coffee on our lanai, no steps, we just opened the sliding door. Snorkeling with the sea turtles. Nearby, our place was central to everything!! We want to especially thank Tammy for answering all our last minute questions. We especially enjoyed grilling on the Bar-B-Que right outside as we watched to romantic sunsets. We can't wait to book our visit for next year!

Overall this condo and its location is very nice. The condo is on the first floor with a short walk to the private beach. We were lucky enough to watch two whales breaching while eating breakfast on our lanai. There is a local church down the street that serves BBQ in the parking lot a few times each week and we knew by the long lines it would be awesome, and we weren't disappointed! There isn't a whole lot to do in Kihei but that's the good news. It's very quiet and relaxing. If you want night life, it's an easy 30-40 minute drive to Lahaina. The condo had a washer & dryer and plenty of kitchen amenities, towels, etc.
I would have given this 5 stars except that the carpet in the bedroom desperately needs to be replaced and there was only lounge chair on the lanai (at least 2 are needed).
