Had a blast staying at Paul and Debbie’s wonderful home away from home. From the moment we crossed the threshold it was everything we could have hoped for and more. We have been longtime Maui visitors and are a big fan of the VRBO experience primarily for those personal touches like fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer, and the small things you wouldn’t necessarily think of that bring the feeling of home with you on your trips. This unit did not disappoint whatsoever! It has everything you need to be comfortable and confident throughout the duration of your stay. There is access to movies, board games, beach gear, a fully equipped kitchen, and most importantly highly efficient air conditioning. Already looking forward to coming back again in the future. We found our perfect Maui hideaway! Thank you for the amazing hospitality and being top tier hosts!

My daughter and I have had an amazing holiday. The unit overlooks the golf course which is actually very peaceful and offers lush palm trees and bushes of Hawaiian Hibiscus right by the Lanai. Minutes to shops on Wailea and Wailea beach. We snorkelled off the beach and saw turtles and lots of fish. The condo was absolutely beautiful, clean and peaceful. Mahalo!!

Located on the 3rd fairway of the blue course and close to the Wailea shopping, great restaurants and 5 minutes from the best beaches in Maui! This was our third time staying at a condo in Grand Champions and this unit was easily the best. It was clean, well maintained, and very well stocked with all the essentials. The local property manager was friendly and helpful. One feature I really appreciated was the split mini AC system. Many units here have noisy window air conditioners, so the quiet and efficient cooling was a welcome improvement. As other reviewers have mentioned, this location is convenient to many restaurants, shops, golfing, and beaches. Highly recommended!

The VRBO was immaculate and very quiet yet still well located in south Maui to making our visit that much better! I stayed here for 2 nights while in south Maui. This is a great location. You can go over to the high end resorts (enjoyed the bars and restaurants!) or take a short drive to amazing nearby beaches. Great coffee place in the plaza across the street.

We booked 4 guests and then thought we would leave the kids at home or have them stay with my parents on the other side of the island. I was told we will settle on refunding the extra person fees after the stay.
During the stay, I’d communicated that for 5 of the 9 nights, we had our kiddos. They would not refund and completely accused us of lying! I am a short term and long term rental owner and was very insulted. The property owners and manager do not “assume positive intent” in any manner.
Here are the pros:
-Beautiful, spacious place
-Walking distance to Wailea shops
-Fully stocked with everything from beach toys, bags, even some sun screen
Cons:
-Ants and cockroaches inside the unit. While Raid and sprays were available, this is a bottom floor unit and we fought off bugs during our stay.
-Pool is anti fun! There are postings for no toys, no jumping, no playing, no, no, no! This place is definitely not meant for kids.
-Property manager stops by unannounced with a “gift.” Seemed very spy to me! I’ve never had this before in the 100’s of places I’ve stayed!
-Bugs in the unit
-no view of water and seemed like I was in Palm Springs, not Hawaii. Our fault for overlooking this
We much prefer staying on the Kaanapali side of the island where it is a lot more family friendly with amazing views for the same cost.
We won’t be staying at this unit or Grand Champions again and wouldn’t recommend it. We will however go back to Papakea again…for a 7th time!

This was the 2nd time we stayed in this unit, #103. We love the location overlooking the golf course, the extra space in the great room, all the beach equipment provided, and the bed is very comfortable! Close enough to walk 10 minutes to the beach walk along the ocean each morning. Hope, the property manager, is one of the best in the business as she is very attentive and caring. Fun to sit on the lanai and watch the golfers each morning while we enjoyed our morning coffee. Well equipped kitchen for everything you would need to fix any meal. Lots of restaurants close by too.

I recently stayed at this condo with my girlfriend for our first trip to Maui. This condo couldn’t have been better. It was in a great location just up the street from the Shops at Wailea and several unbelievable beaches. The place was spotless and the manager went above and beyond to ensure our stay went well. I can’t recommend this place enough.

This was our fourth time staying at Grand Champions complex, all in different units. This unit was very clean and comfortable and located at the top end of the complex, looking onto the golf course, great for morning coffee. Lots of room for a one bedroom, as well as having the bonus of the use of beach chairs and umbrellas, etc. Our property manager Hope was excellent, checking in with us occasionally throughout our stay, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable time
Overall would have no problem staying in this unit again.

This property was beautiful and very well taken care of/furnished. There were only 2 of us staying here and it was beyond spacious (it definitely could have accommodated even more than just us). We enjoyed a great hike at La Perouse Bay and there were close by shopping centers with a variety of shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend this spot!

Everything about this stay, even from booking, was beyond exceptional! Hope has the very best communication of any property manager we've ever dealt with. We had zero issues with this condo! The location was great! It was VERY clean and welcoming. I still can't get over how comfortable the bed and pillows were. Made my bed not so great once we got home;-) Hope left a sweet surprise in the fridge which may have been my favorite part:-) If we ever make it back, we would 100% stay here again!

I own 2 rental properties on VRBO, but this was my first time to rent one myself. I did lots of research, asked lots of questions and am 100% happy with selecting this place. Hope is who we worked with as property manager and she was beyond amazing. She checked on us periodically and quickly answered any questions that I had. This condo was stocked with so much more than I could have ever expected. My favorite part is that I saw in the pictures prior to booking, that there are basically 2 sitting areas in the den, and that was perfect for my 2 teenage sons to have their own space. I hope that I can return to Maui one day and I will definitely be staying here if I can. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Paul's condo at Champion's Gate was very cosy and comfortable. The spacious condo had all the amenities and more of we needed for our three week vacation in Maui. Morning tea on the lanai overlooking the 8th hole of the Old Blue Golf Course was very relaxing. King bed and soft pillows were super comfy. Quiet surroundings. Hope, our Property Manager was amazing - always available if we needed her. She also provided us with tasty treats. I'd highly recommend this property.

This is our favorite condo in the Grand Champions. Enjoyable to sit on the lanai and watch the golfers in the morning. Condo was completely stocked with everything you would need for a great vacation with beach chairs, towels, umbrella, ice chest, etc. Kitchen was beyond stocked with every imaginable cooking item. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and lots of extra bath towels. Hope, the property manager, was attentive, friendly and easy to get a hold of. Great vacation and hate to leave.

After postponing our 50th anniversary trip for a year, we were so excited to finally make it back to Maui. This unit is very clean and well maintained so we had no virus concerns while staying there. The furnishings are very comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing in the unit as well as taking advantage of all the activities, restaurants and shopping that are within easy walking distance.
We found Hope very helpful while we were planning our trip. Once we arrived her attention to detail and thoughtfulness made up feel that we were truly welcomed guests. Thank you for making our celebration so special!

We were in Maui for 10 days, but stayed on different parts of the island throughout. The last 3 days we were able to stay in Wailea and absolutely loved the property! It was extremely clean, quiet and relaxing. Compared to other properties we stayed on in Maui, we were impressed by this one. It was extremely well managed. The check in process was smooth and felt professional. Hope (property manager) was absolutely wonderful and available for any questions we had. We definitely hope to be able to stay here again on our next trip, just hopefully for a longer time. Thank you for the amazing experience!

What an incredible rental! This place was so much better than I expected it to be. Located in a quiet area but very close to shops, restaurants, beaches, resorts - this place was amazing for my husband and myself. Waking up to the gorgeous golf course every morning with the incredible sounds of nature was such a lovely perk. Rental itself is well equipped with everything you might need and is plenty spacious. Hope, the property manager, was extremely helpful and incredibly sweet checking in on us throughout the stay. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to be in a peaceful area with walkable access to adventure and food and fun. Would 1000% stay here again.

This was our first time in Wailea and this property is fantastic. This property has wonderful amenities. Plush interior decorations that make you feel at home in Hawaii! Great view of the Wailea Blue golf course and mountains and short walk to the beaches, beach walking path, shopping etc. The condo is immaculate!
The property host, Hope Marie, is amazing. She understands "attention to detail" and the little things that make your stay...PERFECT!

This place was alllmost too cozy to leave and explore Wailea! Beautifully decorated, amazingly clean, and charmingly organized. I had everything I needed and so much more. The host was super attentive and so kind and welcoming. The walk to the shops is just under a mile, I’d say a third is through the condo complex, then partly along the golf course, then the rest of the way along the main road. Make sure to enjoy the sunrise on the lanai! I’ll for sure try to stay here when I visit again.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights before spending a week at a Kaanapali resort. We both agreed that we wished we would have stayed here for the entire time. The condo was very clean and comfortable. I was amazed by the kitchen's organization, cleanliness and how well it was stocked. The thing that I probably loved the most while staying here was waking up to the awesome bird song in the morning. Last, but not least, Hope was welcoming and such a pleasure to deal with!

We absolutely loved staying at this property!! It is huge and beautiful. You will love staying here! Great location in Wailea. Close to Ulua beach and Kihei. We loved watching the sun rise over Haleakala from the lanai every morning. This condo has everything you will need, and more! And our host, Hope, made us feel so welcome and at home. The host/property manager ( Hope) was extremely responsive, calling to welcome us to Maui and helping two technically challenged people get the TV to work. Being on the golf course, this condo was very peaceful and the views were gorgeous. Open up the windows and enjoy the cool morning breezes!

Me and my wife had a conference we were attending in Wailea and we decided to stay off property. What a wonderful location and wonderful property to stay at! I wish we would of had more time to enjoy the property as we were very busy for the few days there, but definitely enjoyed the time we had available. Everything was accurate with the listing and the management company was fantastic regarding calling to make sure we had arrived fine and making sure that there were no issues with the property. We will definitely stay at this location when we return to Maui in the future.

Our Condo at grand champion villas was totally amazing, everything you want in it and it had a super comfortable bed which makes a big difference. Extremely clean and well appointed, we would definitely try to get the condo 103 again!!! :). Hope, was our property manager, he couldn’t ask for a sweeter and more attentive person! :)
