We had a magical Christmas week in Ute and George's flat. The communication with the landlords was excellent. Access to the flat was very easy and well described. The complex is a dream, very well maintained and you always feel like you are in the Garden of Eden. The beach is only 2 minutes away and we had many beautiful sunsets there. There are plenty of parking spaces on the complex. There is a large supermarket (Times) and a shopping mall with various restaurants nearby (2 minutes walk). The pool looked like a lot of fun - but we didn't use it. The flat is very comfortable and spacious. The WiFi worked great. The kitchen is very well equipped. Sufficient sockets (also near the bed) available. Beach equipment such as sun loungers, parasol, snorkelling equipment and towels were available. If you are sensitive to noise, you should prepare yourself accordingly. From the bedroom you can hear the adjacent laundry room and the bedroom is adjacent to the car park and does not have light-proof curtains. Essential furnishings are clean, large and higher areas could do with better cleaning. Overall, a great place to relax and feel at home.

Property was very nice and clean. Owners were very open and communicative during the time of the Lahaina tragedy. Lots of available items for use, beach chairs, games activity equipment. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable and large. Great proximity to the beach though I personally prefer the beaches closer to Wailea. Bed looked slept in but they changed out the sheets for me the next day. Rather thin walls so you need to be cognizant of sound and any construction or other outside noise will wake you up if youāre a light sleeper like myself. Overall, a solid value.

We were very pleased with the condo. The only problem we have was we felt the floors needed to be mopped prior to our arrival. As even though we took our shoes off our feet. We found we're very dirty after walking on the tile. Other than that, everything was perfect.

We stayed at Kihei Garden Estates for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. The condo was well stacked with anything needed for beach days and relaxed evenings. We felt safe at the resort and loved the calm atmosphere. On windy days we liked spending time at the nice pool or jacuzzi.

We were extremely happy with everything about this condo, the unit itself and all its amenities and equipment, the location, the property cleanliness. The grounds keepers were out there every day cleaning the grounds and pool area. Everything you need is within walking distance. The beach is literally less than a 2 minute walk.
We would highly recommend this condo.

Perfect location, walkable distance from shops and restaurants, situated in front of a grocery store. The beach is literally 2 minutes away! We really enjoyed the beach chairs, cooler, snorkelling gear and fully equipped kitchen. Everything was perfect and we will rent again if we're back in Maui one day. Highly recommend this place!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything is thought after: beach chairs, umbrella, snorkelling gears, swimming board, towels, kitchen fully staffed. The apartment is spacious and cosy. Great garden on the backyard where we enjoyed our breakfasts. The property is maintained very well. The grass is cut, the pool is taken care of. Itās close to the beach (1 min walk) and shopping. Great location. The only thing that could be improved is that the apartment looks 20-30 years old inside. It definitely needs renovation. Otherwise itās perfect for a short stay

This is such a wonderful place to stay in. We wanted somewhere in Kihei where we felt it was a bit more of a ārelaxed, local vibeā than the touristy area of Maui. George and Uteās place was comfortable and provided that perfect base camp for activities in Wailea, Kihei, Lahaina and even Kapalua! The beach near their place is nice and sandy though not the best for snorkeling, had wonderful sunsets daily. Definitely a place to consider staying!

I LOVE the location. Is conveniently close to beaches, food stores and restaurants. The appartment is well maintained and is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay (beach towels, surfboards, beach chairs!) 1 big room and a sofa bed is provided comfortable for up to 4 people. There is ac in the living room but we didn't need it as there is ceiling fans that provide a good airflow. One of my favourite features was all the closet mirrors! I didn't have to fight for mirror space with my daughter! :) The appartment is conveniently located next to the laundry room and very close to a beautiful shared pool. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Maui. Thank you for such a great accommodation. We enjoyed our stay!

George and Ute were wonderful hosts! They were very quick to answer questions. The place was beautiful! Very spacious, great location with pool and BBQ. There was a beautiful beach right across that you can watch the sunset and have a nice swim. Also great for morning walks! Very close to restaurants and grocery stores as well. They also had a beach umbrella, chairs and a few snorkel masks which was so helpful! I would definitely recommend staying at George and Uteās place while you are in Maui!

The place was great, well kept. Floor was very sandy I had to sweep when we arrived. FYI the volume on the TV in the bedroom did not work.

Looking forward to more visits to Kehei Gardens. Have stayed in Lahaina, Wailea, Kapalua before, but this location is so accessible to the beaches, grocery stores and restaurants that offer more of a local flavor. So happy to have discovered this place!! Definitely returning in the future!!

This place was perfection. Located just far enough from the shops that you didn't feel crowded, but close enough to walk or take a few minute drive. The place was very clean and the place is nice and quiet in the evenings. When we return to Maui in the future, I hope im lucky enough to stay here again. The beach is perfectly located away from this home - MAYBE a 2 minute walk. And the sunset from this beach was the best of all we saw. There is also a grocery store right on the other side of the home. Be sure to bring change for the laundry room since there isn't a change machine in there.

I will definitely be back. The home was clean and had everything we needed. I thought I was going to have to rent beach umbrellas etc and it was all provided. The beach was amazing and had it almost to ourselves every time we went out. We also enjoyed looking at the stars at night on the beach. The location was near restaurants and stores and could walk. There was absolutely no issues but if there had been Rhonda is quick to respond. Thanks for sharing your home. 20 stars out of 10.

We had an amazing trip to Maui, and staying at this condo just made everything so easy. Great central location, super close to the beach and grocery store. We watched the sunset every night and even had a few turtle sightings on the beach. The space is clean, homey, and the lanai is so lovely. We so enjoyed our trip and can't wait to go back to Maui already. Would love to stay at this property again or at least the same complex. Thank you, George and Ute, for opening up your home to us for our honeymoon. We appreciate it!

We had a great time, loved the location and amenities. It does need some attention as far as bedding, and pillows. We were unable to open the bedroom windows because screens had some holes . And the drapes allow no privacy when lights are on. This was especially a problem when using the sofa sleeper in the living room. The living room was very light which made it hard to sleep.

Location was great. Once we got the wifi working (router was unplugged), everything was good. Walking distance to store and breakfast place. Did not use the local beach but it is there if one wants it. Would love if laundry was in the unit as we had to wait for people to finish using it but otherwise, all good.

We loved staying at George and Uteās charming little condo. It was perfect for me and my little family, which consists of my wife and 4 year old son. We loved that it came equipped with all the beach necessities. My son was happy to have all the beach toys ready to go. The pool was great, never crowded and the perfect place to go after dinner for a quick dip. We loved the location, Kihei was one of our favorite parts of the island. Would definitely come back again!

The condo was so clean, quiet and peaceful. It was easy access to the beach (biggest highlight!). We loved the lanai at night for dinners and the hot tub for pre dinner dips. This was exactly what we needed for our time there.

I really enjoyed my stay. I didn't rent a car - and had no problems at all because of the central location and beach proximity of this condo. Also it's right next to lots of restaurants and a grocery store (even food trucks!). I loved how well stocked the condo was with beach supplies - everything you could need! And that they provided beach towels so I didn't have to bulk up my luggage with a beach towel. Communication was a breeze and owners were very kind. Highly recommend. Would stay again for sure!

Kihei is a bustling section of the Maui coast. Plenty of shopping, restaurants and a bit of nightlife. Condo is convenient to walk to beach or stores and a few restaurants close by. Property is well maintained with a very nice pool and outdoor kitchen. Condo has everything you need including beach towels, chairs and snorkeling gear. Kitchen is a bit dated, bathroom has been nicely updated. Hosts communicated well.

The apartment is in excellent condition, with all the amenities one would need to feel at home.
The location is fantastic: one block from the beach and from a supermarket.
The grounds are beautiful, very well maitained and every evening there are gatherings by the jacuzzi where you call have conversations with visitors and residents.
I highly recommend this "Home Away from Home".

The Location is great. You can walk out the back patio and go to the beach a short walk away. There is also a nice pool on the grounds. Living room furniture could use some updating but overall a nice location at a very reasonable price.

We absolutely loved this property! It was a great central location for all the fun things we wanted to do on the island. The pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing. We could walk to go grocery shopping or eat out. Best of all, it was across the street from a wonderful beach! The surf was a little rough during our stay (throughout the whole island) so we couldn't snorkel much. We hope to stay here again someday! Mahalo, George and Ute!

We loved this VRBO location and would certainly recommend it to everyone. A few quick items that future travelers should know:
-Very easy check-in/check-out process
-Enjoyed snorkel/body boarding/beach gear, thank you!
-A/C unit is located in the living room, and the bedroom just has 2 fans (one on the ground and the other attached to the ceiling)
-Unit itself was spacious and we really enjoyed the outside table + chairs, which is where we had breakfast every day!
-We thought the space was not clean when we arrived, definitely needed a bit of upkeep

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. We made use of the beach chairs and snorkels provided. And the shower had good water pressure (which is important to my husband.) my only complaint would be the coin laundry. Due to the current coin shortage it was a bit of a hassle to get the needed change. But that is no fault of the property owner. Overall, a great place to stay!
