The condo is very well decorated and furnished, with a good layout. The kitchen had more utensils than you'll ever need. Love the balcony, the view from the master bedroom, and the grounds. The beach is a short 1 block walk and is very quiet. The whole condo is on a quieter side of Maui, which is a huge plus.
The ventilation with the windows open and the front door (a real sturdy screen door is there) made for no need for the a/c. Waking up to fresh air, ocean sounds, and that view is way better. If you are hot natured, and you keep your house like a walk in cooler, keep in mind the a/c unit only does the living room and kitchen.
The only complaint I could muster is the mattress is uncomfortable. I'm 165lbs and I had to keep switching positions during the night as it gave me sore spots.
The in unit washer and dryer were a huge plus, and again, I want to reiterate that it was very well done and tastefully decorated. I would definitely stay there again, I just would hope for a better mattress next time :)

We enjoyed staying here, but almost couldn't get in! The lockbox was extremely problematic, but luckily we pushed on the door, and it opened! There were supposed to be 2 keys inside, in addition to one in the lockbox, but there was only one. We did get the lockbox open eventually, and reported the problem, but were never contacted. As for the unit itself, it was very comfortable, with a great view, but lighting in the living room and one of the bedrooms was really not sufficient for reading. We did love the decor, and the kitchen was fairly well-equipped, beds comfortable and a/c & fans kept the place cool. The dishwasher didn't work.

We had just purchased a unit in the same property but ran into some timing issues with the remodel. At the last minute we were able to secure a stay in this unit. The unit is well maintained and we found everything to our liking. The property management company was great to work with. I'd recommend this unit and this property to anyone who is looking for a phenomenal location to watch the sunrise and the sunset just a few yards fro.m the ocean

The view from this unit was spectacular! We could hear the waves crashing and palms waving in the breeze every night. The unit was very clean, shout out to the crew. The AC unit is small, but the trade winds were enough to keep the place cool.

Your condo exceeded our expectations - the view is unmatchable. We loved swimming in the pool and the bay - and we even saw sea turtles on our walks. The condo had all the amenities we needed. We loved the central location on the island, with short drives to Kihei for food and groceries, and short walks to Ocean Center Aquarium and Pride of Maui for snorkeling. This was a truly a dream vacation for us! Thank you for offering such a cozy and comfortable place for us to stay.

We had a great time staying at Kanai A Nalu. The apartment is very will equipped with everything you could need on vacation (cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, and various water toys). The kitchen was also well stocked.
Overall, our stay was very pleasant. The apartment is in a great location and had a quiet laid back atmosphere.

Having never been to Maui before, we really had no idea what to expect in terms of location... and this spot was perfect! Close enough to ammeninities yet far enough away to enjoy family time together. Saw whales from our lanai almost everyday which was fantastic. The condo was spotless, check in was easy and we encountered no problems during our stay. The only miniscule issue we had was not with our condo, but simply the rules of toys in the pool or on teh grounds. We have two teenage boys taht wanted to play catch either in teh pool or on the grass and we were immediatelsy stopped for it on the grass and signs are posted everywhere about toys in the pool. There were a few familes with children that received the same message as us immediately from the senior residents when attempted It did would not detour us from staying here again, just wish we would've known before hand.

Stayed here with our family of four. We loved the location, the beautiful grounds and the balcony view especially during whale watching season! We had some trouble figuring out the lockbox at arrival but called the management company after hours and they talked us through it. Great beach in walking distance from the condo and a short drive to the airport and many restaurants. Just minutes from Ma’alaea Harbor where many excursions depart. Kitchen was really well equipped, awesome grilling station by the pool, and we were pleasantly surprised there were more starter kit items than promised thus saving money on supplies like toilet paper and garbage bags. The condo itself is a nice size for 4 people and was overall very clean with no bugs (yay!) but more detailed attention could be given such as dusting ceiling fans and cleaning cobwebs from windows. Our only minor complaint was that the sheets didn’t stay put on the beds and the pillows were a bit lumpy and could stand to be replaced. We were worried about the unit only having an air conditioner in the living room but ended up not even using it most nights because there were plenty of fans and a wonderful breeze when we opened all the windows. We appreciated the beach chairs, boogie boards, beach gear and cooler that were provided. It was also extremely sound proof between units, only ever heard the neighbors when we had windows open before quiet hours. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved this location and the beautiful condo. Great view, and right next to Sand Harbor. The kitchen had everything needed and the grounds were beautiful and impeccable! We were able to see the humpback whales from our balcony which was an added treat. We loved it that there wasn't so much traffic like you experience at other Maui locations. Very quite with the very few planes that fly over as the condo is near the airpot. Thanks for a great vacation!

A cosy complex that a lot of it seemed Canadians return to year after year. The building is older, but comfortable. The only drawback was there is only one window air conditioner on the deck, and even in the beginning of January the bedrooms were very hot. The back bedroom, you couldn’t have the window open for roosters, crowing and cars. When the air conditioner was on, it was noisy enough to be irritable when trying to sit on the deck. When mentioning to the support staff, that a few of the things in the bathroom weren’t cleaned well, they were fantastic and wereon it right away as well as bringing extra fans for us . They did their best.

We enjoyed our time in Maui at this property. It had plenty of space and was clean and stocked. We were a little disappointed with the A/C not reaching the bedrooms enough. We used the fans and closed the shades, but it was still a bit warm for us. Overall though, we enjoyed being there and making memories!

Perfect location to stay while visiting Maui Island! The community is very clean, safe and secure. The condo has everything you need plus more! Kitchen fully stocked with all the appliances you'll need - plus a dishwasher, washer and dryer. A cozy TV area, bedrooms and bathrooms with everything you'll need. The balcony has a beautiful view of the ocean! The host also provides all the beach items you'll need for a fun day at the beach!
The only downfall is the window air conditioner unit located in the living room floor area going out to balcony. One of the property workers visited us on our last day and told us, " you need to shut off the AC unit!" I guess It was dripping water on to the deck below us. She made us feel like it was our fault. Not a good vibe ending our last morning there. This little hiccup isn't going to change my mind on the 5 star rating. That's how much this place rocks!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much!! Thank you for sharing your cozy condo with us! Many memories made that we will always cherish!♡

Did not respond to call for dish towels, insufficient beach towels, coffee cups were too small no mugs. As a former owner of Kanai a Nalu No. 109 for 16 years I’m quite aware of the responsibility of the owners to take care of things so the management staff doesn’t have to worry about it but this place was short on the linens. Unit was very clean otherwise. We were in 205 last year with better local service. As usual I performed maintenance on screen slides and main sliding door. They should stay on track for awhile. Made chk out time but 11 or 12 is better. We would stay here again gladly. However, rent is way way up.

2nd stay in this unit. Beautiful & clean with all the amenities of home. Only things missing were hand towels & washcloths available for the kitchen. We had to borrow from the bathrooms this time around, but made it work :)

This is a spacious and well furnished 2br, 3rd floor unit with a view of the ocean beyond the swimming pool. The location is a good base for day trips to Maui’s scenic points as well as the nearby beaches in Kihie.

The description and the pictures were accurate. We were very impressed with the managers on the property. Every day the managers and maintenance were out cleaning the pool, grounds, cuttings grass and picking up branches etc.

Had a wonderful time at this condo, it is just what we needed. A quiet location, beautiful Oceanview. Easy access (15-20min drive) to all areas of the island we goto without being overly busy.
When we requested for a late check out, property management enabled it quickly with a fair rate. Overall great stay, highly recommend.

We were very happy with our rental at Kanai A Nalu #311. This unit was very nicely remodeled and tastefully furnished and very comfortable. All the basic amenities were provided (soap, shampoo, detergent) and there was an in unit washer/dryer. Everything was in tip top condition.
This was a family golf trip with my two daughters and their friend (all D1 college golf players) so having a 2 bedroom and 2 bath unit was perfect for us.
There were ceiling fans throughout and the unit also had an A/C unit. Fully equipped kitchen, nice eating area for four (maybe 5). Great ocean views - had a nice time lounging on the balcony and reading to the sound of waves near by.
This was a professionally managed rental and all the communication was timely and very clear. Check in and check out were about as easy as it gets. Would definitely stay again and would request this property or at least a Rentals Maui managed property.

Good location and well kept. Quiet and well run. My husband watched the manager clean the grills for an hour each morning. Only downside was only one ac unit in living room so bedrooms got warm if the doors were closed. Fans provided and big windows with shutters to open kept it relatively cool in the bedroom at night.
