The Puamana Zen retreat provides a beautiful experience for adults and the whole family. The whole concept was designed with indoor and outdoor living in mind. High-end materials, granite, floors, and furniture evoke a modern Pacific spa. The cool blues and greens, warm browns and yellows tie together the land, surf, and sun that characterizes the beauty and adventure of Maui. Our home has free WiFi and a TV in every room but we hope you'll be too busy playing outdoors, enjoying the sunsets, and just admiring the night sky instead of using them.
The master bedroom is one of few on Maui where you can listen and view the blue Pacific while actually laying in the Heavenly Queen bed. Luxury Fleetwood doors allow you to open the master bedroom fourteen feet bringing the outdoors in so you can fall sleep with the sound of the surf and wake to the sound of tropical birds. Intimate lighting controls and options let you set the mood.
The large master bath has a beautifully tiled shower, inlaid custom tile and lighting, and two shower heads. The master sink is over seven feet long with his and hers sinks and a large custom mirror that is over 7’ long bringing the outdoors in.
The large master deck has comfortable lounge chairs and a love seat with views over the pool, expansive Puamana gardens and the ocean. When the waves are up you’ll be able to watch surfers and during whale season even spot a breaching whale. Enjoy your coffee in the morning and photo-worthy sunsets in the evening while enjoying a glass of wine. A broad umbrella provides welcome shade during the day providing a comfortable spot to read a book, enjoy the view, and catch the cooling Pacific breeze. It's also the perfect spot for late night star gazing. Dim the master bedroom lights, open the doors wide and just absorb the peaceful Maui night while being serenaded by the rhythms of the surf.
The guest bedroom has a heavenly queen bed, TV, A/C, and separate bath with custom tile and multiple shower heads. The oversized window frames views of the west Maui mountains inspiring you to take one of those epic Maui hikes to discover the waterfalls and tropical forests.
The main floor was designed for indoor / outdoor living where the Fleetwood doors open 14 feet wide to encourage flow. It's perfect for entertaining, family meals, and games. It's an open floor plan from the front door to the edge of the lanai.
The covered lanai is over 200 square feet and designed for al fresco dining. The setting has custom lighting and fans to let you set the mood and keep as cool as possible. The lanai also has a barbecue for grilling fresh fish, burgers, or steaks that you buy from places like Maui Prime, an awesome and very friendly fresh seafood and butcher shop. It's less than a 10 minute car or bike ride away in Lahaina. They'll even give you some tips and tricks on grilling fish and may even share some family recipes if you linger long enough.
The lanai has an outdoor shower and towel hooks so you can rinse off after a dip in the pool or a swim in the ocean. With the pool just steps away and within easy speaking distance, it's a great place to have lunch without worrying if you forget something - our home is right there.
The gourmet kitchen has everything you need whether your preparing an elaborate evening meal or a quick and simple picnic lunch before heading to the beach. The layout and placement of the custom drawers and cabinets was designed for intuitive and efficient cooking to place everything you need at your fingertips.
The spacious kitchen island that seats four was designed for dining, cooking preparation and to encourage conversation. It's an incredibly beautiful and rare piece of granite that mimics the colors and movement of the ocean. The blues, sand, earth, and natural whites center the main living area and inspire you to get out and explore the beautiful pacific all around Maui.
The living room serves as a transition to and an extension of the lanai. The comfortable sleeper sofa is the same as you'll find at the Ritz and the room has HD TV along with free WiFi which is available throughout the home.
The community of Puamana is very family friendly and safe for children. The speed limit is 10 Mph but most of the traffic you'll encounter will be people on bikes or simply walking. The grounds are spectacular and the three pools, tennis court, clubhouse, and beach beckon you everyday to get out and play.
