The air conditioner on the main level works well, however the one in the master bedroom does not. The shower hose needs replacing. Upon our first day at the condo we found moldy coffee grounds in the coffee maker.

We were very appreciative of the extras. The condo included beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, boogie board etc. It made our trips to the beach much easier.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kihei Alii Kai. The condo was exactly as expected and shown in the pictures. It had everything we needed and was very clean. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen had everything (even an espresso machine!!). The balcony was super for sunset and whale watching. The condo is in walking distance to great beaches, amenities shopping and lots of little cafes and food trucks. Even though it is a busy area, the condo is away enough from the main road that it is very quiet at night. The condo is a bit dated, but clean and comfy and well worth the price. The rental management company was wonderful to deal with- very prompt and detailed responses to questions and comprehensive check-in and check out information. Also, the people that rent or own there were all very friendly. We can't wait to go back!

The empty lot next to the building made for a great view of the ocean. The large balcony was also fairly private and since the building was back from the main road, it was a quiet location. The condo was clean and spacious, but dated. It could use some new furniture and kitchen upgrade. Since the condo is rented by a company they did not know specifics of what extras it was equiped with. They said it came with some minimal supplies, but it had more, including; spices, oil, beach chairs, coolers, coffee filters and a boogie board. Likely, stuff left by previous guests. A beach umbrella would have been useful and most condos seemed to come with one from people we spoke to. We bought a cheap one at the local store, so it may still be there now. Had we known before hand that there was no beach umbrella and the high prices at stores in Kihei, we would have paid $10 more at Costco for a much better one. The air conditioners were marginal at keeping it cool with the west facing windows. Luckily most evenings had a breeze which would cool it off quickly with the patio and front doors open. We never used the loft, but it was likely hot up there. The hot tub was closed for about 5 days and gets locked at 9 pm, which keeps the place quiet in the evening, but is not much fun.

First off, Rental Maui did a wonderful job at the rental, access, and introduction to the condo and area.The condo was in a wonderful location. Easy to walk to restaurants and stores.The condo - It was nicely decorated and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. We really only had 2 issues with the condo. 1. The Air conditioning is NOT even close to being large enough to cool the condo. The upstairs was a hot box. The bedroom had a stand alone air conditioner, but it only was able to get the room down to 78. 2. The air conditioner is very loud and it dumps water out by the sliding door on the lanai.I would probably to rent this unit again, because of the lack of air conditioning.Thank you

This rental was just what we needed for our last three days in Maui. The pool and sauna area are very nice. The view from the lanai was beautiful, and we enjoyed our morning coffees there each day. I am sure the sunsets are also spectacular from there, but we walked down to the beach every evening for a swim and to watch the sun go down! The property is literally across the street from a beautiful beach. Full disclosure: As this unit is near the end, the walk is probably 3 blocks, but the proximity to the parking lot and elevator makes this an ideal location for loading and unloading luggage. We also enjoyed many of the shops and excellent restaurants in the area!

I do believe the condo could use some tlc … (besides finding a rotten cake that was plastic wrapped in a box) …overall my family very much enjoyed our stay.
Great location and such a beautiful view. The sunset from the lanai is phenomenal!
The condo is very nice and spacey. Lots of room for our family of 6. It is fully equipped with all your daily needs! && extra accessories for the beach!

Minutes of walking from Kamaole beach park, very well know for the waves and snorkeling activity. Excellent amenities, camping chairs and snorkeling gear are in the property. Lots of towels. Except the bedroom was a little hot but given it’s 4th floor. The AC could work a little better though. Overall, very enjoyable stay. Thank you

The property is in a great location close to the 3 Kam beaches and numerous fast food shops and retails shops. The property was as appears in the photos, we were a group of 4 and was enough space for all of us. Check in was at 4, which ideally would be earlier due to international flights often landing early in the day but also when we were looking at VRBOs most properties seemed to be 4pm. Had a great stay, would stay again.

Awesome location with 180 degree views. The interior is a bit dated, but it was very safe, quiet, and clean, and the pool and gardens were beautifully maintained. Parking was plentiful and easily accessible from the elevator. It's an easy walk to a great beach and casual dining options. The owners provided everything we needed for day trips (coolers, ice packs, boogie boards, beach stuff), but we were just as happy sitting on the lanai, enjoying the cool ocean breezes. It was a perfect low-key home base for our Maui adventures. Mahalo!

The condo was in an amazing location! We loved being able to walk to the beach. There were great beach accessories, we used the chairs every day at the beach. The air conditioner did well except during the heat of the day in the master bedroom. There is a sky light in the master bedroom and it brings in a lot of heat. We weren’t home much during the day, so it wasn’t a big deal. We enjoyed the Gelato shop often, just a quick walk down the hill. And we got tattoos at Patadise tattoo. Moose McGillicuddys had the BEST happy hour- 5-7 pm. 1/2 price specialty cocktails. And Three’s restaurant was amazing. Great happy hour prices there too! Everything is so close and the beach is amazing. We saw a turtle there around 4 pm on 3 off the days we were there. We did use the pool once and grilled dinner at the condo one night. I highly recommend the condo, great location and great price.

The unit was nice and quiet considering the popularity of the area. It was very hot throughout the day and the ceiling fans were helpful. However, the bedroom only has a portable AC unit and it struggled to cool the bedroom down. This wasn't a deal breaker for us, but I would've preferred to stay some place where there was an actual window unit in the bedroom. We brought our baby with us and it was way too hot for her to nap in there without moving more fans into the bedroom. Plus the bedroom has a sky light so it gets really warm in there. Other than that the condo was fine for what we needed. Probably wouldn't stay there again just because of the AC issue.

The unit is nicely located and has an amazing view. But the whole place is kind of.. grungy. Floor and the carpet felt like I didn’t want to walk on them without shoes on but I wanted to follow the no shoes inside policy so I bought some indoor slippers and wore them inside. Other than that, the unit had everything we needed including a rice cooker! I wish they provided more than 3 laundry pods and 2 toilet papers though because we were there for 5 days. Oh and the wild chickens crying right outside starting 3am. Closing the window at night helped a little.

Everything was amazing. The property was so great, the amenities were amazing. The pool and hot tub were perfectly accessible by the bbq pits for relaxing. Only problem we’re when we arrived there was a small lizard on one of the beds and there were tiny ants everywhere in the kitchen and living room area no matter how hard we tried to get rid of them.

I booked this condo based on photos online, and it actually EXCEEDED our expectations when we arrived!! The view of the ocean was incredible and allowed us to take in whale sightings during the day (thanks to the provided binoculars!) and beautiful sunsets each night. We also were thrilled to discover some extra amenities -- beach chairs and towels, sand toys, even snorkel gear! The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and utensils, and we had plenty of linens for our family of 5. The beds were comfortable and it was wonderful to have a place to do laundry half way through our trip.
It did get very warm during the day, and the loft especially was a little toasty at night. The AC unit really helped to cool things down, but it was very noisy, so we learned after the first night to run the AC until bed, and then open windows to continue to keep things cool as we slept. This might not bother heavy sleepers or a family with two adults and young children, but we had four adults and one child, so we had to figure out the best way to make things comfortable and quiet for everyone (the bedroom was very comfortable and quiet -- it was just those in the loft and on the hide-a-bed who had a hard time sleeping the first night).
Overall, it was exactly what we needed for our stay in Maui and we will definitely book again for our next stay!! Thank you for sharing your condo with us.

The problem was the toilet, it should never have been rented out with this problem. My family and I had to look for open public restrooms all over Maui because the toilet was unusable for 4 days out of our 6 day vacation. The condo double locks the restroom near the pool (this means the key they provided with the unit will not work at 9 pm). 1st day -noticed that the toilet was clogging and a message to Maui Rentals regarding this issue. On the 2 day they told me they will send a maintenance person to to fix the issue. After coming back to whole day activities (after 9 pm), toilet was used, it clogged up and was unusable. They “fixed” the issue on our 4th day and by the 5th & 6th day (last day) it was clogged again.

Everything was great, but it was extremely hot when we arrived, the loft does not cool down very much and there were ants in kitchen that invaded our food. We would definitely stay again but would be prepared for the items mentioned.

Be prepared for stairs! Overall nice property, kid friendly, very close to a convenience store and the beach. Condo is stocked with plenty of beachtime necessities (boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkling gear, ice packs, coolers, etc). The islands got hit with a big storm while we were there, which led to lots of water leakage in both the ceilings and through the AC unit, which we needed to mitigate. Called the rental management to report it the leaking; they came by as soon as they could to assess the damage, but couldn't do any fixes while we were there.

The condo was located in a great area, One block from the Kamole Beach I. We arrived in the mid afternoon and the condo was hotter than it was outside. It 2 day to cool it down for it to be comfortable. We had 5 adults during our stay. On our 2nd day we found out the dryer did not work in the condo. We were given another condo were we could use the dryer for a couple of days. Other than me reaching out there was not much communication from the rental company on when it would be fixed. It was not fixed during our entire stay. The guest room sheets were dirty when we arrived, has dry blood everywhere, we went out and bought new sheets to use during our stay. Other then those few issue we had a great time while we were in Maui.

Place is perfect for a group of 4. Gets a little hot in the lofted bedroom but everything else about the property is great. Plenty of parking for guests in the back of the property near the vrbo. Cool shuffleboard, tennis courts, and pickle ball courts are at the property as well. Great view of the ocean and mountains in the distance. Right down the street is a great beach where we saw sea turtles our first day. Quiet apartment space as well and the views of the night sky with all the stars visible was the cherry we didn’t expect. Great stay.
