When we first showed up, I'm not going to lie, I questioned my decision to book us. The outside of the property is a little dated and it looked suspect. But it turned out to be a good stay. The condo was clean and has everything we needed. It was quiet and the residents we met in the jazcuzzi every night were very nice. Convenient location, easy parking, and the price was right. We would stay here again.

The unit has a very comfy king bed, and A/C and fans to keep things comfy. Would highly recommend, and hopefully we will return soon!

Since I spend most of time while on a Hawaiian island out and about I really just look for a clean comfortable place to stay and this fit the bill. It was clean and quiet.
It is right across the street from a beach and the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary.

Good condo with everything you need and more. Not very clean, but that's the issue with the cleaning people management need to address. Floors are pretty dirty, there was a broken glass everywhere: floor, inside the microwave and most disturbing on the mattress of the sleeping sofa when we opened it. Good that there is a vacuum in the condo we used to clean everything. One piece of glass over the front door is missing, found few bugs inside, AC is weak and working non-stop. We did not contact the Management company, but they sent several update emails, great communication. All of the above is the inconvenience, but not a deal breaker. Great location, but beach across the street is not very good, shallow, dark sand, people fishing, but sometimes turtles are getting out on the beach. Good pool, good clean grilles, good tennis court, property is old, but very well maintained.

Excellent condo on the northern side of Kihei. Traffic was much better here than near some other beaches on the south side. Easy check in, clean unit, pool and hot tub were excellent. Conveniently located across the road from the NOAA whale sanctuary which had a great beach/fish pond with little waves and we were able to see 5 turtles on our first day!

Condo #213 was great. We were satisfied with our stay. The general condition of the property was great. It was clean and well stocked. Our favorite and most used items were the boogie boards, there was also snorkel gear, chairs, and umbrellas. We also loved that it was near the entrance of the complex. The bed was super soft. The A/C in the unit was great, but we did run it a lot when in the condo. The ceiling fans were helpful as well. The fan in the bathroom did not work while we were there, but that wasn't a big deal. The kitchen was stocked with more than what is listed. There were icepacks in the freezer, but we also froze water bottles. There are two small coolers in the closet also. One thing all units could use are more hooks to hang towels. And in the shower for loofahs. The space is suitable for two people. We had to unpack our suitcases and use the dressers as there is nowhere to leave a suitcase other than the closet. A cute little beach is right across the road. The pool and hot tub area is great also. There is also a shower station at the entrance of the parking lot which is great to keep sand out of the condo. Wifi worked great. We loved the location for being quite central on the island, being approx the same distance to each main area of the island. Ultimately, it's Maui so that's the best part of it all!

General appearance was very good, furnishings, and site amenities were also very good. There had been flooding two weeks before our arrival, so no laundry was available. The floors were tile and appeared clean upon arrival until you walked on them barefoot, Wow our feet were black on the bottom. We personally cleaned the floor three times the first day and it still needed something more to remove the tacky substance on the floor. We were not happy about the floor condition.

This property was perfect for our first time visit to Hawaii. Easy and accessible walk to town, beaches, and food. We were able to rent a car for the day literally two blocks down from the VRBO to take the road to Hana which is a must do!! Sugar Beach bakery had the best farmers market, you must try their fresh guacamole!! We used the hot tub almost every night and it was the perfect way to wind down. Overall, we will definitely be coming back to stay here for future trips!!!

Well maintained unit and complex. Unit had everything we needed to prepare meals when not wanting to experience Maui cuisine. Park across street allowed us to catch several fantastic sunsets and visit with sea turtles. Pool area with hot tub and grills always clean. Highly recommend Kihei Bay Surf!

Right across the street from a low populated beautiful beach and sea turtles. We went all over the island and it was the perfect central location. Full kitchen, clean and all you need for the beach, towels, chairs, coolers, umbrella etc. we also played a game of tennis with the tennis rackets and balls provided. You must eat at the bakery Sugar Beach Bake Shop down the street! We went there almost every day and have zero regrets. Safe and quiet area and the pool was never over populated. We would definitely stay here again.Quick responses when we needed help. Great place to stay if you’re like us and just need a home base but are gone most of the day.

We were very pleased with the attention to detail that the owner of this property shows! Fans all worked, A/C worked, kitchen had all the needed dishes, utensils, accoutrements. We also loved the nicely- tiled shower and the beachy vibe of the place: Fun sayings, cool artwork and pieces. Additionally, plenty of beach items in closet for use at beach. This condo is perfect for someone looking for a reasonable place to stay while exploring the amazing island of Maui. Everything you could need is provided, including endless kitchen equipment and beach gear (coolers, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards). Some items were damaged but still fine to use! Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Condo was as advertised. Quite clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Plenty of seating beyond the bed. Appreciated how well stocked it was with dishes, towels, chairs, etc. We did not need to communicate with manager, but also had no issues. Check-in/out process was easy and smooth. Loved the proximity to so many good things in Kihei. Plenty of easy-to-find parking.
Nitpicks: A/C could have been a bit stronger and was kind of loud, but not bad. TV was a little confusing/slow to turn on, but works great. Just be patient with it and be sure to aim the remote directly at the box.
Would gladly stay here again and definitely recommend it!

Beach chairs and towels were super handy and the location was perfect as we could easily walk across the street to each access for watching the sunsets or laying out for a bit. The space was clean, and the bed was super comfortable! We can’t wait to come back and would love to be able to stay in the same area if possible! The condo worked very well for us. It’s close to the beach and close to supermarkets etc.
The air conditioner does not work at all so we ended up sleeping with both doors open and fans going.
We would stay here again IF the air conditioner is fixed/replaced.

The location in Kihei was extremely convenient and it was always a breeze finding parking in the lot. There's everything you need to cook in the kitchen and there's some tupperware. The beach chairs and umbrellas came in handy several times. However, the AC barely works and the whole unit smells awful. On the first night I bought 2 glade air fresheners and it did next to nothing. I couldn't even smell them. It's not a foul odor like sewage, but instead like an old apartment stink that I'm sure everyone knows. The towel rack is barely hanging on in the bathroom so I never used it. And the closet was full of stuff so I couldn't unpack anything. At least it was cheap.

Overall we loved staying at this place. They had everything we needed, fully equipped kitchen, beach gear, and great apartment.
Hard to communicate with property manager, we got locked out and had to wait 20 min utill someone called.
There was maintenance on the laundry room and water pipes wich the manager did not Tell us ahead of time.
After speeking to the managers they where very nice and compensated for the inconvenience.

We stayed for about one week at Kihei Bay Surf. Overall experience was positive. Check in was hassle free. The unit was very close to a beach where we could watch beautiful sunset. The location was also conveniently located within walking distance to a Safeway supermarket and an ABC store.
It would have been nice if body wash instead of a small bar soap had been offered. The blender had not been thoroughly cleaned, which we believed was the responsibility of previous tenants. Also, a roach was found crawling on the kitchen floor one evening, but we understood that this was probably more of a general problem of Maui.

This rental made Maui feel like our home away from home! The location was perfectly in middle of everything we wanted to do. Not to mention the beach across the street was secluded and intimate, it was perfect to go swimming. Check in was super easy through the hospitality app. We’ll definitely be booking with Rentals Maui again for our next trip!

We had a great time at this property. The residents are friendly and informative. It's directly across from a wonderful little beach and the turtles come in every night so we got to experience them daily. Really good location and within walking distance of a wonderful restaurant called Nalu's. I highly recommend the property and the restaurant.

The Condo was very modern and in a decent location. It also had a large supply of beach equipment available for use. However, I felt the room layout was not designed very well. The room was very large, yet it had a small air conditioner unit which was almost completely blocked by a large couch which could not be moved. I could not open the screen doors for air circulation because there was a large hole in the front screen which would have allowed in insects. I realize that we were in the tropics, however I felt that the condo should’ve been treated for insects. We stayed in two other locations on this Hawaiian trip and never saw one roach, etc. in the other locations.
